Match Report |
A tidy 7 - 2 win over La Guardia saw Devon Cliffs take the points. If this is how master tactician Nicky Jones plays a game of football, we wouldn't want to be playing him at chess! Sam Pull added to his haul scoring with a strike from the left wing to end the match with 4 to his name. Like a box of damp matches, the La Guardia forward line is full of useless strikers. Sure the Brazillian squad could make the 3 1 3 1 2 formation look impressive, Devon Cliffs however make it look very ordinary. "I strongly believe that the first 90 minutes are the most important," offered Tony Mckeown following his team's defeat."We'd do well in future to remember that." La Guardia did one thing right, they managed to keep the margin of defeat to a respectable level. There' no shame in losing 7 - 2. Well, not much anyway. |
