Match Report |
There were no problems for Grimthorpe Eagles as they breezed past Monkey Hangers Fc with a 8 - 3 win. After a good session at the Trip to the beach the Grimthorpe Eagles performance was credit to manager Adam Sapple's commitment. Winnie Bago missed the match because he lost his car keys and couldn't be arsed to walk to the pitch. Monkey Hangers Fc could save themselves some money next season by not bothering with a goalkeeper. They'd save a fortune on pies alone. This result reads more like a tennis score than football. Monkey Hangers Fc's defence would have faired better if they'd played the second half with tennis rackets. They were the pits. Grimthorpe Eagles's Adam Sapple experiment with the 5 4 1 formation is not giving the results he wanted. Maybe he should change it before it blows up in his face. "The lads ran their socks into the ground out there today," said manager Adam Sapple. "I told them we must throw our hearts over the bar and hope that our bodies will follow. I think we did that." An unsurprising result perhaps. If Monkey Hangers Fc continue to look as keen to offer the opposition three points on plate maybe they should all become waiters. |
