Match Report

Play Up Pompey hoped they'd be in a league of their own this season. If they were they'd have been first rather than 14th.
The Play Up Pompey fans were calling for the head of manager connor phillips after this game. He at least knows where his head is, unlike his arse or elbow.
No one on the Play Up Pompey team looked like they knew what to do with the ball when they got it. No matter though, they didn't keep if for very long.
The goalkeeper's trade is a lonely one. Play Up Pompey's Dan Geruss is going to be shunned by his team mates, making him feel especially lonely, after this shocking performance.
When Rathpeacon 's defence shut up shop, they don't just lock the door, they board it up and stand an armed guard outside. What a defence.
The boss is meant to shape his team, Play Up Pompey manager connor phillips does. But 4 1 3 1 1 is not the best shape for them.
Rathpeacon 's winning manager Eamonn Hawe commented after the game: "It goes to show there's no alternative to quality. Well, connor phillips's team found one. But being dreadfully poor is no answer."
If two Greeks were watching a game this bad they'd have difficulty in understanding why Play Up Pompey took such a beating. It would have been all English to them.
