Match Report

There were some important lessons that My Lovely Horse's manager Ted Crilly should take from their crushing 27 - 0 defeat at the hands of The Blurred Crusade. . . like don't bother. Those long hours of Defence training are paying off for the The Blurred Crusade players. Rule number 462, sub-section b: you pass the ball to you own players, you muppet. Watching Frank Ribery II swiping at the ball over and over again in a vein attempt to clear his lines, it was almost tragic that the poor lad could only succeeded in sticking it past his floundering keeper for an own goal of cringing proportions. Crop circle investigators don't get too excited, it's just The Blurred Crusade's forwards. They ran rings around My Lovely Horse's defence. Both teams played in the game how it was meant to be played… if they were nine-year-old girls. So apart from the odd hair pull, the ref didn't feel the need to book anyone. Steven Gerrard demanded that he was substituted after picking up a mild concussion. The manager ignored him, making the injury worse. He misses 2 weeks. If you put on a show as poor as this in the West End, the audience would vote with their feet. My Lovely Horse need to knuckle down or face the consequences this season. It wasn't so much an off day for My Lovely Horse, it was more like a day when someone forgot to switch them on in the first place.
