| A truly abysmal performance by CLASSIC XI saw them left with everything they deserved from this 7 - 3 defeat by Conquerers - nothing. The Conquerers defence was on form today, as Ashford And Simpson would say "Solid. Solid As A Rock." Conquerers had the lion's share of possession. The lion wasn't too pleased, but like CLASSIC XI his skills weren't up to taking the ball off them either. A goal with a flick on rounded off an impressive game for Conquerers's new hero Sam Urai*, who scored 2 times. Like a bather at a Michael Barrymore barbeque CLASSIC XI tried to keep it tight at the back… but Conquerers's attacking style was too much for them. Ensuring your best players get to play in their best positions is vital. Sweeper was a good stab, unfortunately for luca Antony most of his squad are best on the bench. Underfire CLASSIC XI manager luca Antony explained: "Their keeper played very well and it was not the best pitch, but I am not making excuses." On the strength of this display, Conquerers really don't need to play for the full 90 minutes to take points. They make it look easy. at the moment. Whether they'll bloom is another matter. |
