Match Report |
Screaming Vengeance never really got started and as a result were made to look very ordinary by a sparkling Acorn Raiders side who handed out a harsh lesson in finishing with this 6 - 0 defeat. With a tactical master class like this it's only a matter of time before Acorn Raiders manager Nicholas Carroll will be writing books on football theory. Screaming Vengeance's goalie Stu Pitt couldn't catch a cold. And he barely seemed to know what a football was. Atrocious. More energy saving than Greenpeace. Acorn Raiders let Screaming Vengeance have the run of the ball for long spells and then caught them by surprise on the counter attack. Lou Sirr 796 and Artie Choke clashed in a war of words which found them both end up in Simon Pieman's book. What a game for Lou Stooth 773*. There was no one else even in the running for Man Of The Match. Screaming Vengeance boss Gavin Stewart who must feel like his job is on the line after todays capitulation claimed: "Well, winning all the time is not necessarily good for the team." Following this kind of showing the rest of the division will no doubt be approaching Acorn Raiders with caution. Few can afford to be in the very ordinary shoes of Screaming Vengeance. |
