Some things just aren't meant to be. The result of this game going in the favour for Fallen Empires was one of them. Try as they might, nothing they did could stop them losing 2 - 0 in this affair with Lucys Wanderers. Corners is clearly an area that needs work in training. Unfortunately for The Enigma so are the team's other five areas. Some excellent defending from Lucys Wanderers produced a clean sheet and a decent result against Fallen Empires. By both kicking off to play a Passing style game the game could have gone either way. Lucys Wanderers edged it and were worthy winners on the night. The Vikings and The Saxons picked a fight with the biggest guy in the crowd hoping Michael McLintock would end their embarrassment on the pitch. They both took a beating before Michael McLintock stepped in and, out of spite, only booked them. When the ref pointed to the spot for no reason, Lucys Wanderers's Harrison Fire tucked a superb penalty kick into the bottom corner despite the Fallen Empires keeper getting a hand to it. "Winning all the time is not necessarily good for the team," said Fallen Empires boss The Enigma. "Love is good for the players, so long as it's not at half-time." Fallen Empires must be feeling pretty hard done by. Despite the daylight robbery nature of the win, Lucys Wanderers won't be getting a visit from the police any time soon.
