Losing 2 - 0 is always a hard pill to swallow. CSI-Westgate on Sea must be choking on theirs after throwing away any advantage they might have had over CSI-Canterbury. This game was effectively won in CSI-Canterbury's training sessions, so polished is their Corners. After clean sheet number 18 for CSI-Canterbury goalie Pauley Perrette, it was kisses all round in the dressing room. No tongues though, that's disgusting. Two teams, one style and a fortunate result for CSI-Canterbury whose Use Wings pinched the result on the night. Liz Vassey and Lauren Holly were both shown the yellow card when they decided to settle an argument with their heads. Anna Belknap kept his cool and scored from the penalty spot for CSI-Canterbury. "To be honest, I was surprised that we put up so little resistance," shrugged boss Brian Gilbert after his came away from the game with nothing. "But I always say nothing surprises me in football." Okay, so the nature of the win was so convincing. But if CSI-Canterbury planted a little acorn with this win, they'll be a mighty oak. in a few hundred years' time.
