Before a single ball had been kicked you could see CSI-Sandwich were hoping to teach CSI-Broadstairs a footballing lesson. As it turns out they could only muster a 2 - 0 win. Disappointing for sure, but it's still three points in the bag no matter how you look at it. With little sign of organisation from manager Brian Gilbert, the key to this game is tactics. The only keys he'll have next match is for the team bus. If this game went on for a week, CSI-Broadstairs couldn't have put the ball past CSI-Sandwich keeper Pauley Perrette. CSI-Sandwich manager Brian Gilbert likes the Counter Attack game, almost as much as he likes coming up against another team playing it. The choice of Eva La Rue*** as Man Of The Match was spot on. The guy played like a god out there. "The gaffer got it right tactically," commented Liz Vassey, "We can win Westgate Cup on this kind of form unless someone beats us." Sometimes the beautiful game can seem downright pug-ugly. This was one such occasion. Not so much Cinderella as her very ugly sisters.
