Match Report |
There were no problems for Touchnplay as they breezed past Cork city reds with a 4 - 0 win. Liam Cotter would have as much luck training this sad bunch as he would training a dog to speak Spanish. But working on their Corners doesn't seem the right place to start. If there was a raffle where first prize was football and Cork city reds had the winning ticket, they'd probably give it away to Touchnplay too. As own goals go, Darius Lesgettham's peach was as magnificent as it was tragic. They say you can't pass a camel through the eye of a needle, but after Touchnplay's midfield stunning performance today you'd back them to have a good go. Touchnplay's Chris Johnston sent the keeper the wrong way with a deft spot kick. "It wouldn't have taken much extra for to have won," bawled Liam Cotter after being outwitted by Touchnplay's manager. "We didn't underestimate them, they were just a lot better than we thought." On the strength of this display, Touchnplay really don't need to play for the full 90 minutes to take points. They make it look easy. at the moment. Whether they'll bloom is another matter. |
