| Match Report |
| Quiet Floods were the better the side on the day as their 19 - 0 pounding of Uxbridge ers showed. The Uxbridge ers fans were calling for the head of manager David Gooch after this game. He at least knows where his head is, unlike his arse or elbow. Uxbridge ers were very impressed by the skills of the Quiet Floods team. They spent the whole game marvelling at them. Glen Donnerly thought he'd play safe and kick the ball back to his goalie. Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Was the keeper where he thought he was? Nope? Did the ball just stop before it rolled into the back of the net? Nope. Oh dear. After today David Gooch cannot defend his team. And neither, obviously, could his defence. Glen Donnerly and Xavier Money clashed in a war of words which found them both end up in Brian Blinker's book. Most of Uxbridge ers clearly thought 3 5 2 was the boss' phone number. Why else did they ignore his formation instructions. "It goes to show there's no alternative to quality," bragged Quiet Floods manager Neil Down after the game. "Well, David Gooch's team found an alternative didn't they? But being dreadfully poor is no answer." Being beaten by a tennis score is nothing to be proud of. Neither is falling in love with a tennis player. To them love means nothing. |
