| Match Report |
| Newbury should be quietly confident about the rest of their season after a very pleasing 90 minutes' work saw them snuff out any threat Ð and there wasn't much - posed by Queen and Country in this 10 - 6 win. With little sign of organisation from manager Paul John, the key to this game is tactics. The only keys he'll have next match is for the team bus. An almighty performance by Newbury's forwards, their game was like the contents of a carpet fitters pockets. Attack, attack, attack. 2 Queen and Country players were booked after annoying Butch Gravelneck with their constant moaning. The animals went into the ark two by two for a very good reason, if there's an explanation why Queen and Country go out in 4 4 2 Attacking formation we're still looking for it. "To be talking about vital games at this stage of the season is ridiculous," said manager Paul John following his team's defeat. "But this game was absolutely vital." The surprise here was that the score was only 10 - 6. It could have been a whole lot worse for Queen and Country and in a way, that's a small victory. |
