| Benton City must have thought all their Christmases had come at once. Such was the extent of their thumping 10 - 3 rout of Winter taking break it looks like they got a few birthdays and some bank holidays thrown in for good measure. With little sign of organisation from manager Davy Winter, the key to this game is tactics. The only keys he'll have next match is for the team bus. If you had 11 headless chickens running round a field for 90 minutes, the chances are at least one of them would run into the ball at some point. Winter taking break weren't even that lucky. A hat trick for Sheeza Freak rounded off an impressive outing for Benton City. When Benton City's defence shut up shop, they don't just lock the door, they board it up and stand an armed guard outside. What a defence. The ref had a few words with one of the Benton City team for a reckless tackle. He would have booked him, but when asked for his name he said it was Mangbockverstschnivelnickle Xantiamarklebrumbunkle. The ref just put his book away. After an agricultural tackle from Adam Sapple, Simon Pieman had no hesitation in pointing to the spot. Similarly, Winter taking break had no hesitation in putting the spot kick straight into the keeper's arms. "To be talking about vital games at this stage of the season is ridiculous," said manager Davy Winter following his team's defeat. "But this game was absolutely vital." It's not so much a yardstick that Winter taking break provide for others to gauge their performance, it's more of a floor mop that the opposition use to clean up with. |
