Once again finding themselves on the wrong end of a result, Laven Golani's team are looking like favourites for the drop this season. Can they survive? Not on this sort of showing.
Like an untended garden, the untrained We Play Like Girls have begun to grow wild, unruly and not at all trim. Their manager should invest some time in training.
If We Play Like Girls were being paid to play football, they'd have had their wages stopped after this game. Westhampton Comrades had so much possession it was almost embarrassing.
2 goals for Westhampton Comrades's in-form target man, Sid Down, topped off an impressive game for his side.
A disgraceful defensive performance from We Play Like Girls. Their centre backs couldn't even challenge Anneka.
The ref was so bored with the gentlemanly conduct on the field he blurted a string of expletives and promptly booked himself for foul and abusive language. It was the only booking of the game.
The boss is meant to shape his team, Westhampton Comrades manager Emo Prix does. But 5 2 3 is not the best shape for them.
"In football, if you stand still you go backwards," manager Emo Prix claimed following the win. "To get results like that you have to take the bike by the horns."
Despite all their Christmases coming at once, Westhampton Comrades should still get a present. On the evidence of this one-sided contest a deckchair for their goalie might be nice.
