Match Report
To lose in The The Champions Shield Final must be difficult to take. The crushing blow dealt to We Play Like Girls here is going to take some getting over. Maybe next season eh?
Max Clarke needs his mind jogging. He needs to remember that's what his team should be doing. Jogging. He gives no attention to his increasingly chubby squad's training needs.
We Play Like Girls were very impressed by the skills of the Blue Star Strikers team. They spent the whole game marvelling at them.
With 10 other players on the field it's hard to credit that one man can lose a game on his own. We Play Like Girls's keeper is turning losing matches for his side into an art form.
What a midfield Blue Star Strikers have. We Play Like Girls didn't get a look in but have plenty brusises as souvenirs.
Blue Star Strikers look about as convinving playing in the 3 1 3 1 2 formation as they would if boss James coomber sent them out in dresses.
"It was a great win for us," Blue Star Strikers striker Robin Meeblind told the local press. "The gaffer is delighted with the manner of the win. He says we've taken to it like a duck out of water."
There's often a fine line between footballing dreams and nightmares. Blue Star Strikers made sure there was no confusion here.
